At 10 mos of age Jay finished his Championship at the DesMoines, IA shows.
He was only shown 3 weekends and finished with all majors the last one being 5pts.   Jay has a very happy, stable temperament to go with his correct conformation and GREAT coat.  He is very gamey and will be competing in the field this fall.  He has a nice double wire coat that requires very little grooming.  He received numerous complements from breeder judges on his very correct, tight, double coat.  As it says in the standard "The general arrangement of the hair is such that the wirehaired Dachshund, when viewed from a distance, resembles the smooth. Any sort of soft hair in the outercoat, wherever found on the body, especially on the top of the head, is a fault."
